The Salvation Army Thrift Store on Jackson Street in downtown Chillicothe is closed and has been for some time. Lt Shannon Forney says they are working to reopen the store, but it will take a little time. In the meantime, Lt Forney says they are not accepting donations at that location.
Forney says they have also had a problem with people dumping their garbage in with what are meant to be donations.
She says until they do reopen, they ask that you please STOP dropping donations at the Thrift Store. If you need to get the items out of your home, there are the yellow boxes around town that accept donations
