Police Report Include Unattended Child On South Washington Street

Chillicothe Officers responded to 97 calls for service Monday.

Just after midnight Monday morning, officers were called to a business in the 400 block of South Washington Street, where a young child was found unattended.  The officers determined the identity of the child and contacted the parents.  The report states the child was staying with others and was able to open the door and leave from the home in the 200 block of Herriford Street without the caretakers knowing.  A report was sent to Children’s Services.

1:37 am, A domestic disturbance was reported in the 400 block of Williams Street.  The officers found several impaired individuals who were uncooperative and had differing stories on what the incident involved.  No arrests were made.

6:29 am, Someone came to PD and turned himself in on a Municipal warrant.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

1:54 pm, officers took a report of a C & I vehicle that was eastbound on US 36 from near Utica.  The vehicle was observed coming into Chillicothe and observed by Officers, but no irregular driving was observed.

3:57 pm, Report of kids trying to climb on a doorway overhang at Central School.  Officer checked and kids were trying to retrieve their playground ball.

5:53 pm, Officer reported to Danner Park where damage to windows was inflicted by someone hitting golf balls.  A solution worked out by parties involved.

11:45 pm, Officers responded to a report of a fight between brothers in 400 block of Polk Street.  Determined to be nothing physical, only yelling at each other and mother.  No arrests were made.
