Troopers Report One Accident And Five Arrests

State Troopers reported one accident and five arrests in the area counties over the weekend.

An Independence man had minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Saturday in Daviess County.  State Troopers report 43-year-old Craig Reeds of Independence was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital following the accident on Interstate 35, 8 miles south of Pattonsburg.  According to the report, at about 3:05 am, Reeds ran off the east side of the roadway and his truck overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side,

Reeds was also arrested for alleged DWI – Chronic Offender, Driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, no insurance and no seatbelt.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail after he was released from treatment at the hospital.

Other arrests over the weekend include:

Saturday at about 9:20 pm in Caldwell County, 25-year-old Samantha Hays of Chillicothe was arrested for alleged three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, leaving the scene of an accident and improper child restraint.  She was held at the Caldwell County Detention Center.

Saturday at about 10:25 pm in Grundy County, Troopers arrested 42-year-old Tonya Baumgartner of Spickard for alleged DWI, no valid drivers license, no insurance and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash.  She was taken to the Grundy County Jail.

Saturday at about 11:10 pm in Linn County, Troopers arrested 23-year-old Jacob Boomershine of Dublin, OH for alleged possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.  He was processed and released.

Sunday at about 9:20 pm in Daviess County, Troopers arrested 22-year-old Virginia Wainwright of Lees Summit for alleged possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and DWI with drugs.  She was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
