State Troopers Investigate Two Accidents

Five people were injured in two accidents over the weekend.

A single-vehicle accident in Chariton County Saturday at about 10:00 pm left four injured, including one with serious injuries. State Troopers report a pick-up driven by 28-year-old Samantha Cobb of Marceline was westbound and failed to stop at a T intersection.  The truck went into the ditch and hit an embankment.

Cobb had serious injuries, her passengers, 32-year-old Lawrence Diaz and 22-year-old Zane Fenter of New Cambria had moderate injuries and 48-year-old Brian Lewis of Marceline had minor injuries.  All four were taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center for treatment.  They were not wearing safety belts.

 

A single-vehicle accident in Carroll County Saturday morning left the driver with moderate injuries.  StatFive People e Troopers report 32-year-old Adam Geiger of Carrollton was eastbound on Highway 10 and ran off the east side of the road, hit an embankment and his motorcycle overturned and he was ejected.  He was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
