The Chillicothe Police Department ordered five new police vehicles early this year, but so far they have only received one. Police Chief Jon Maples says the one vehicle that was delivered will be ready to use soon.
He says they hope to have that car ready as early as today.
He says much of the delay in getting the new vehicles has to do with the shutdown the manufacturer had due to COVID-19.
This delay has resulted in higher miles and more problems with the current fleet.
He says as the new vehicles are delivered, they will be equipped and put into the service.
