Accidents In Livingston and Carroll County Leave Three Injured

Two accidents in the area counties over the weekend left three injured.

State Troopers in Carroll County investigated a single-vehicle accident at about 2:00 am Saturday.  According to the report, 19-year-old Cordell Cooper was southbound on US 65 and ran off the roadway, struck the median and a culvert. Returned to the road and ran off the road again, striking an embankment.  Cooper was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  He was not wearing a safety belt.

Sunday in Livingston County, an accident involving farm equipment and a semi left both drivers injured.  State Troopers responded to the accident on US 36, which happened at about 5:15 pm, 10 miles west of Chillicothe.  According to the report, the tractor pulling a disk-ripper, driven by 21-year-old Brady Bothwell, was eastbound when it was struck by an eastbound semi, driven by 65-year-old Stewart Seidel of Wisconsin.  The report states the semi rolled onto its side, blocking the eastbound lanes.  The farm equipment ran off the south side of the road.  Bothwell had minor injuries and Seidel had moderate injuries.  Both were treated at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe
