Council Hears Annual Funding Requests Ahead Of Budget

The Chillicothe City Council heard four requests for funding as part of their budget process.

Vicki Silkwood: President for Concerned Citizens of The Community made the request for increased funding for the Grand River Multipurpose Center due to the increased number of meals served.  The request for the 2021/22 budget is $30,000.

Jessica Trussel, County Engagement Specialist for the Livingston County Extension made the request for $6,500, an increase from last year.  This is to continue to provide services in the county and community.

Leslie Patek, Director at the Livingston County Humane Society presented the request for $2,500 in funding.  She also presented a review of the current year’s activities.

Sherrie Wohlgemuth from the Community Resource Center made a request of $20,000 to assist families and individuals.  The additional funding will provide opportunities to receive reimbursement grants.
