The Linn County Courts announced the outcome of two recent jury trials.
March 5th, Matthew Guilford appeared in Linn County Court on charges that include:
- Assault in the First Degree or Attempt,
- Armed Criminal Action,
- Resisting Arrest by Fleeing – Creating a Substantial Risk ofSerious Injury/Death to Any Person,
- Possession of a Controlled Substance.
A Linn County jury returned not guilty verdicts on Count 1 and Count 2. They returned guilty verdicts on Count 3 and Count 4. Sentencing will be held May 4th.
February 9th, the Linn County Jury returned a verdict of guilty for Robert Lee Wood, III, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Sentencing will be April 6th.
The Linn County Prosecutor’s office also provided training to several departments. The all-day training for Criminal Crash Investigations – focusing on the investigation and prosecution of impaired driving crashes.
