Chillicothe Municipal Election on April 6th includes one contested race, First Ward City Council. Both candidates have served in elected office for the City in the past and neither is the current officeholder. KCHI spoke with both candidates about why they are running for the First Ward Council position. Reed Dupy has served in several elected positions for the City. He explains why he is running to be on the council again.
Dupy says street improvements are important to him.
He says CMU is another big asset for the city, providing local services at affordable prices.
