Final May Chillicothe City Council Meeting – June 1st

The last Chillicothe City Council Meeting for the month of May will be held June 1st.  The Memorial Day Holiday required the move of the meeting.  The City Council will meet Tuesday, June 1st at 6:30 pm at the CMU meeting room.

Following the payment of invoices and salaries, the council will consider an ordinance for the Bank Depository proposal.

A public hearing is scheduled for the consideration of a petition by Hope Haven Industries to vacate a platted street.

Under appearances,

The mayor will make recommendations to fill openings on the Planning and Zoning Board, Parks and Recreation Board, and Board of Adjustments.

There will be a discussion on a request to declare items surplus.

Chief Maples will request the development of a police officer recruitment program.

Darin Chappell will lead a discussion on the Vacation Carry Over Policy.

Robert Cowherd will lead a discussion on a donation of 35 acres of land from the Jenkins Foundation.

An executive session is planned to follow the regular meeting.
