Police Report Includes Several Arrests

One-hundred-thirty-six calls were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department Wednesday.  These calls include follow-up investigations, well-being checks, and domestic disturbances.

3:26 am, Officer assisted Livingston County Deputy on a disturbance call in Wheeling.

10:30 am, Subject in PD to turn themselves in on warrants.  One warrant was recalled and originating jurisdiction would not extradite on the other.  No report.  No arrests.

1:24 pm, Officer and Animal Control checking on dog in the 700 block of Highland Avenue.  Animal taken to Vet for treatment.

2:08 pm, Officers attempted warrant service on a subject that fled from Officers for two felony warrants.  After checking several different locations, the subject was located in the 100 block of St. Paul Street and another subject was also taken into custody for hindering prosecution.

4:10 pm, Officers checking area of 800 block of Broadway for suspect in property damage reported in Wheeling.  Unable to locate suspect.

9:19 pm, A subject that was southbound in the 10 block of S. Washington Street at excessive speed refused to stop for Officer and travelled south on US 65 and then east on US 36 to Lowe’s Acres and north to Ryan Lane before abandoning the vehicle at a residence.  Officers were not able to locate the driver and the vehicle was towed from the scene.  Chillicothe Police and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

10:02 pm, Officer made a vehicle stop in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street and discovered the female driver was wanted on felony warrants from the State of Kansas for drug and paraphernalia charges.  She was transferred to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail to await extradition by Kansas officials.  Vehicle was towed.
