Fugitive Arrested On Drug Charges

The driver that fled Chillicothe Police officers Wednesday evening and then ran from their vehicle was arrested by Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies Thursday morning.

Sheriff Steve Cox says the investigation of the vehicle included finding a methamphetamine smoking pipe and a cell phone.  Security footage showed a woman fleeing from the scene and officers were able to identify the suspect.

Thursday morning, at about 8:36, the suspect was found in the same area when she attempted to contact someone at a rural home.  Deputies arrested 42-year-old Peggy Jo Zorn of Chillicothe for alleged Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest by Flight.

The report from the Sheriff states Zorn was allegedly found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia at the time of the actual arrest.

She was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on 24 hour hold pending filing of formal charges.
