Stedem Sentenced To Probation and “ThinkFirst” Program

Nineteen-year-old Chandler Bishop Stedem of Chillicothe was sentenced to two years of probation and 48 hours of shock time after pleading guilty to careless and imprudent driving involving an accident and DWI.  In addition, Stedem will need to complete a program called “ThinkFirst” by November 1st.

The University of Missouri says the “ThinkFirst” Traffic Offenders Program is a hospital-based experiential program designed specifically to educate high-risk drivers about the consequences of motor vehicle trauma. During the program, court-ordered traffic offenders follow the same path they would have taken had they been seriously injured in a crash. By providing a graphic and realistic view of life as a crash survivor, traffic offenders realize the full impact of their unsafe driving behavior.
