Chillicothe High School Homecoming – Friday

The 2021 Chillicothe High School Homecoming on Friday includes a variety of activities, beginning early in the day.  CHS Principal Dan Nagel says the theme this year is Saturday Night Fever.  Nagel says the Homecoming Parade will start at 2:15 and will follow the normal route.

Students must complete float building before 9:10 am, as they have a pep rally at 9:15.  Classes will dismiss at the High School Friday at 12:05 as they make final preparations for the parade at the staging area on Polk Street, behind the Middle School.

The Grand Marshal for the Homecoming Parade is a 45-year member of the Football Chain Gang – Cecil “Hop” Stuver

The Chillicothe Homecoming Parade will start at 2:15 and will follow the normal route, starting on Polk Street, turning south on Washington Street to Ann Street, east to Locust Street, and north to Calhoun.

The Chillicothe School Dismissal schedule of Homecoming includes:

  • CHS       12:05
  • CMS      11:55
  • Field      12:20
  • Dewey   12:20
  • CES       12:15

Busses will run after dismissal.

This year’s Royalty candidates include:

Queen candidates are:  Emma Crowe, Clara Leamer, Emmalee O’Dell, Kadence Shipers, and Libby Washburn.

King candidates include:  Anderson De Jesus, Braxten Johnson, Damarcus Kelow, Gage Leamer, and Brock Ward.

The Attendants include:

Freshmen – Kealee French, Tori O’Dell, Langston Johnson, and Silas Midgyett.

Sophomore – Emmy Dillon, Hadley Beemer, Alijah Hibner, and James Matthew.

Junior – Bri Foli, Kaylynn Cranmer, Landon Winder, and Max Wagers.

This year’s Homecoming King and Queen will be announced following Friday’s football game.

The Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, October 2nd from 8:00 to 10:00 pm, followed by a pancake feed in the CHS commons.
