Seal Coating and Slide Repairs will begin in Sullivan County next week.

Slide Repairs

Repairs for several slides along Highways 5 and 6 in Sullivan County will begin next week.  The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Lehman Construction, LLC to complete the project for 10 locations along the two routes.

Work on Highway 5 is scheduled for Monday, October 4th through Wednesday, November 10th.

Work on Highway 6 is scheduled to begin Wednesday, November 10th and all work should be complete by the end of November.

A 10-foot width restriction will be in place on each route while work is taking place.  All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change.

Seal Coating

Seal Coating of portions of Highways 129 and 11 will begin next week in Sullivan County.  Crews from Vance Brothers, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to seal coat two roadways beginning next week:

  • Route 129 from Route H near Mystic (Sullivan County) to Route 11 in Linn County, east of Route HH and just south of Winigan
  • Linn County Route 11 from Route 129 near New Boston to Business Route 36 in Brookfield.

Crews plan to begin on Route 129 near Mystic, on Wednesday, October 6th, progressing south to Route 11, just south of Winigan.

They will then seal Route 11 from Route 129 near New Boston to Business 36 in Brookfield.

Crews will work five days a week during daylight hours. All work is expected to be complete by the end of October.  During the seal coat operation, the roadway will be reduced to one lane, flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place
