Missouri Highway Patrol Accident & Arrest Reports

State Troopers report one accident and one arrest in the area counties.

A two-vehicle accident on Highway 11 in Linn County Thursday afternoon left one driver with moderate injuries.  State Troopers responded to the accident, west of New Boston as both vehicles were westbound.  Sixty-six-year-old Gary C Deutschman of New Boston was preparing for a wide turn and was struck on the right side of his vehicle by Seventy-one-year old Robert G Long of Kirksville.  Long was not wearing a safety belt and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.  Deutschman was wearing a safety belt and was not injured.

 

A Chicago man was arrested in Daviess County early this morning.  State Troopers arrested 26-year-old Terry L Martin for alleged speeding and on a Linn County warrant for alleged failure to appear on a charge of alleged no driver’s license.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending the posting of bond.
