Snow Aides Officers In Tracking Suspect

Snow helped Chillicothe and Livingston County officers track a suspect that ran from a traffic stop Sunday night.

The Chillicothe Police Department attempted a traffic stop at about 10:15 near Mitchell Road and Corporate Drive.  The driver refused to stop and drove to the 600 block of Corporate, where they exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

The fresh snow made for excellent tracking by the Chillicothe Police Department and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

A 37-year-old man was taken into custody after an approximate 2 to 3-mile track to an area east of Chillicothe.  He was arrested on a State of Missouri Parole Warrant for alleged receiving stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, felony driving while revoked, felony resisting arrest, and failing to register a motor vehicle.

He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
