Food Price Increases Slowing

Going to the grocery store has taken a bigger bite of our paycheck this year as food prices are nearing 10% higher than 2021.  USDA Economist Matt MacLachland says mid-summer, the rate of increase for food began to slow as the inputs for the producers began to recover.

MacLachland says this may not mean price drops at the store.
