At nearly five months into the fiscal year for the Chillicothe R-II School District, expenditures are above revenues. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers explains. Wiebers says the construction project will affect the expenditure side. In addition, a large portion of the district revenue comes from the personal property and real estate taxes that are collected around the end of December.

The annual Audit Report for the City of Chillicothe was presented at Monday’s Chillicothe City Council Meeting. City Administrator Roze Frampton says the City is financially strong, but an update will be needed before the audit is submitted to the state. The final audit report will be presented to the City Council on September 8th.
