The Livingston County Ambulance District will soon begin working with a billing company. The billing has been handled in-house, but when the person responsible becomes sick or otherwise unavailable for extended periods, the billing falls behind. The in-house person will still handle some of the duties, but the billing company will handle collections.
The Ambulance board is also planning to purchase a couple of ambulances and equipment. They have requested American Rescue Act funds from both the city and Livingston County. The total amount available has not been confirmed at this time.
