The Linn County Prosecuting attorney is responsible for collecting and distribution of restitution that is ordered by the courts.  The Linn County Prosecutor reported in the month of March, her office received a total of $11,098.88 in restitution and disbursed $6,047.31 in restitution to victims of crimes.

Guilty On Statutory Rape Charge

A Statutory Rape case investigated by the Brookfield Police ended with a guilty verdict.  The Linn County Prosecuting Attorney announced the guilty verdict was handed down by the Sullivan County jury for Rodger Gannan.  Gannan was found guilty of first-degree statutory rape and patronizing prostitution. Sentencing will be June 9th.
