MoDOT Reviewed Transportation Projects With County Commission

Michael Mariot from MoDOT met recently with the Livingston County Commission to discuss the MoDOT five-year plan.  Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says the plan includes some work taking place this fall.  He says they are working on low-volume roads right now. Chip & Seal Contract Awarded

The Chip & Seal contract totaling $279,936 was awarded to Vance Brothers.  The Chillicothe City Council accepted the bid of nearly $397,000, which was higher than expected.  The council also approved a change order trimming the list of streets. The Chillicothe Street Department Chip Seal projects could start moving forward soon.  Chillicothe City Administrator Roze Frampton says bids are due today. Frampton says in-house work on streets is also taking place this year. Work on the upgrades on 2nd Street are still in the engineering stage.
