Heavy Rain Saturday Caused Street Flooding

Brookfield Motorcyclist Injured After Hitting Deer

A motorcycle accident in Linn County left the driver with moderate injuries Sunday morning.  At about 2:45 am, 40-year-old Steven O Gillespie of Brookfield was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.  The accident happened when Gillespie was southbound on Highway 5, north of Laclede and struck a deer.  His motorcycle overturned and he was ejected.  He […]

Injury Accident On Elm Street

A single-vehicle accident in Chillicothe left one person injured Friday afternoon.  At about 2:45, officers were called to the 400 block of Elm Street.  The officers found Zach Weaver had run off the roadway and hit a tree.  He was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.  He was not wearing a safety belt.
